Projects may consist of client facing security solution designs based on client requirements or offering led standard security services solutions.

Earning Criteria

  • Must be an employee of IBM. This badge is applicable across security services teams, pre-sales solution design, transition & transformation or run state solution design.
  • To earn the IBM Security Services Architect – Level 1 badge, an IBM Security Architects must have at least 9 points when totalling up the points associated with their validated technical skills across all the vendors they support.
  • IBM Security Services Architects can earn points by completing these activities:
  • Apply standard solution pattern or reference architecture to a customer requirement to support solution design (1 point)
  • Provide input into at least 6 different non-standard client solutions for a minimum of 6 months with clear input (1 point)
  • Provide training or shared knowledge for IBM Security global team (1 point)
  • Collaborate with Delivery Enablement design solutions with clear demonstration of solution architecture contribution (1 point)
  • Create architecture knowledge base, reference architectures (2 points)
  • Develop a detailed Architecture Solution Design document for an IBM post sales client deployment (At least 2 deployments) - (2 points)
  • Lead the design of 3 client solutions for a minimum of 6 months with clear input and design documentation (3 points)
  • Support offering manager during evaluation of new technologies, create solution designs and reference architectures for new offerings (3 points)
  • Develop a solution architecture for a first of a kind technology at client location (3 points)
  • Demonstrate Subject Matter Expert (SME) expertise through Certification (4 points)
