Earning Criteria

Must be an IBM employee or IBM contractor

This individual provided significant contribution to his/her profession, outside of their normal responsibilities. A minimum of 10 hours of contribution in the calendar year is required to earn this badge. To earn this badge you must have one done one of the following activities:

Acted as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) Reviewer assigned by the Profession for badge applications specifically related to the Profession's certification process;

Engaged in specific activities directly requested/sponsored by the Profession leadership team, supporting the deployment/adoption or enhancement of the profession's certification process or the vitality of the profession community.

The badge will be valid for 2 years. To revalidate your skills as Profession Champion, you must continuously support the Profession with at least 10 hours outside of your normal responsibilities on an yearly basis.

Professions in scope for this badge: Architect, Client Management, Data Scientist, Developer, Product/Offering Manager, Product Services, Project Management, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), Solution Consultant, Supply Chain Management, and Technical Specialist. Contribution to activities not directly sponsored by the Professions above will not count towards meeting the criteria for this badge.
