NAIFA offers a three-level course series to train members in grassroots advocacy. Beginning with the basics of meeting with legislators through growing relationships and even running for office, the course prepares NAIFA members to develop relationships with elected and appointed officials to discuss topics and legislation pertinent to their financial services business and that may affect the clients that they serve. Completing the course grants the Financial Security Advocate badge.

Earning Criteria

The NAIFA Grassroots Engagement Course contains three modules (roughly one hour each) to step a NAIFA member through the basics of grassroots advocacy through advanced techniques in developing political relationships. Finishing the 101, 201, and 301 courses allows the individual to achieve the badge of Financial Security Advocate.
