Earning Criteria

  • Note: This badge is not available to IBM employees.
  • All acts must have a focus on IBM zSystems, LinuxONE or IBM Hyper Protect. All badge applicants must be a member of Fans of IBM zSystems on IBM Z and LinuxONE Community, already earned the Contributor badge for this year, and complete three of the following tasks.
  • Content Creation - Create a blog post or article on online forums such as IBM Community, Medium, LinkedIn, etc., a podcast, video or other type of content.
  • Translate at least one technical content piece from English to regional languages or vice versa, and publish translation.
  • Mentorship to at least one new to IBM zSystems community member, zStudent Ambassador, or Hyper Protect Accelerator startup.
  • Create and/or teach one or more IBM zSystems or LinuxONE related course.
  • Contribute code to at least one or more IBM zSystems or LinuxONE open-source project such as Open Mainframe Project.
  • Host, facilitate or support an IBM zSystems or LinuxONE related face-to-face event or virtual event such as webinars, meetups, etc.
  • Present a session on IBM zSystems or LinuxONE at user groups, webinars, podcasts or industry events such as IBM Systems TechU, SHARE, THINK, etc.
  • Actively run, moderate, or play a leadership role in a Forum or User Group.
  • Provide product feedback and/or technical contributions by participating in councils, surveys, and beta testing opportunities.
  • Provide support to a startup that is part of the Hyper Protect Accelerator Cohort (i.e., technical guidance, pitch deck prep).
