Earning Criteria

Execute a detailed work plan developed by the host manager that describes the key activities and projects that the intern will complete as well as the client-facing meetings in which the intern will participate.

Complete a team deliverable built around IBM's client engagement method. Interns will be required to demonstrate new skills each week and will receive a deliverable evaluation at the end of the internship that describes how well they performed on such dimensions as communication skills, effective questioning techniques, and technical acumen. Each team will also make a final presentation based on the client opportunity they have selected to focus on during the program.

Intern will receive a mid-term evaluation with inputs from the intern's host, Sales manager, hub leader, and others familiar with the intern's work.

Intern will participate in regular checkpoints with a Sales manager to receive coaching/mentoring and to review journal entries that they are expected to maintain.

The following is specific to US or Canada:

US: Each intern will receive an in-depth final performance evaluation that summarizes the intern's performance against key recruiting metrics.

Canada: An in-depth Intern Challenge that includes a written proposal and orals presentation on an innovative IBM solution. The presentation is made to the Executive Sales Leadership panel and Sales manager.
