Earning Criteria

48 Months of responsible-in-charge experience
Application for the CCM includes: two client references, professional resume, educational documentation, and additional documentation of experience
Complete and pass the CCM examination that assesses the highest knowledge of the best practices in construction management
Maintain the credential via continuing professional development credits or passing of the high-stakes assessment again

Standards

ANSI/ISO/IEC 17024

The Certified Construction Manager certification has been accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) under the ANSI/ISO/IEC 17024 standard since 2006. In 2013, the Construction Industry Institute (CII) endorsed the credential. In 2016, the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) endorsed the credential.
