The Be Equal Ally Badge is earned by IBMers who have demonstrated a level of learning, volunteer effort, and advocacy representation which support IBM's diversity, inclusion, allyship, talent and business priorities. Each earner's completed criteria are assessed and approved by the earner's manager. Be Equal Ally badge earners actively advocate through actions and activities to create a supportive, inclusive culture at IBM.

Earning Criteria

Be an employee of IBM or IBM contractor.
Complete the Be Equal Ally learning plan.
Join the Slack channel group of at least one Business Resource Group (BRG) for a community which you are not a member of, but an ally.
Participate in at least one BRG event, can be face-to-face or virtual.
Include a diversity and inclusion goal in your Checkpoint reflective of fostering a consciously inclusive culture at IBM.
In the badge application, share a direct experience about how you are an ally to others at IBM or in life.
