- The Founders designation recognizes organizations that participated in the review and refinement of the Data Excellence Program before its formal launch in February 2024. They utilized the DCAM framework for assessments and/or training within the 24 months before December 31, 2023. The Founders designation will be displayed on the appropriate badge as long as the organization remains in the Data Excellence Program.
- Active participation in Thought Leadership and Data Management Best Practices initiatives in support of the EDM Council and the data management market at large.
- Maintain and grow the requisite number of DCAM Trainers and Assessors.
- Meets or exceeds the requisite number of assessments and training engagements annually.

Data Management Capability Assessment Model (DCAM)
DCAM—the Data Management Capability Assessment Model—is developed and maintained via the collaboration of EDM Council members. It enables organizations to have trust and confidence that the data and analytics programs are built on industry best practices and have been proven across the industry.
