Earning Criteria

• The Founders designation recognizes organizations that participated in the review and refinement of the Data Excellence Program before its formal launch in February 2024. They utilized the DCAM framework for assessments and/or training within the 24 months before December 31, 2023. The Founders designation will be displayed on the appropriate badge as long as the organization remains in the Data Excellence Program.
• Commitment to Data Excellence Program. Must submit Member Badge application naming Certified Partner. Must complete DCAM certification training within 3 months. Must complete DCAM assessment within 6 months.
• Training: Target audience to be identified for DCAM training & certification (key staff in the Data Management organizations, domain leaders, data stewards, IT program managers). Target audience to be identified for general data management training (literacy, ethics, steward, etc.)
• Member & Certified Partner initiated improvement plan initiated including training target audiences
• All Data Excellence Program Organizations are required to have at least one mid-year checkpoint meeting with a Certified Partner to review progress.
• All Data Excellence Program Participants must submit their periodic DCAM assessment scores to the EDM Council. Anonymized scores will become part of the Global Benchmark Repository.
• All Data Excellence Program Participants must be EDM Council members in good standing.
