Earning Criteria
-
AFB Talent Lab evaluates the digital products defined by the organization through design review and/or authentic usability testing by people with disabilities using a screen reader or other assistive technologies. Following testing, AFB provides the organization with a report of identified accessibility and usability issues, prioritized based on severity and matched to WCAG standards where appropriate, for the client to improve.
-
The organization has the opportunity to meet with AFB Talent Lab testers and accessibility experts to discuss identified issues, remediation recommendations and implementation steps, and accessibility and digital inclusion best practices. With this new knowledge, the organization implements changes to improve the accessibility and user experience for people with disabilities.
-
The earning organization is solely responsible for acting upon AFB’s recommendations and implementing improvements to their website, apps, or other digital products based on AFB Talent Lab’s usability testing report and suggested improvements. This badge validates the organization’s partnership with AFB Talent Lab, not the implementation of any recommendations or accessibility of any website, app, or other product.
