Badge holders have participated in a USM Professional course, or if they previously participated in the USM Foundation course, they have participated in a USM Professional Bridge course.

Badge holders have been assessed for their understanding of USM and for their ability to explain USM to others, by an experienced USM Professional in a Train-the-Trainer course.
