The 8-week course covers a range of investing topics, including compound interest, diversification, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, ETFs, as well as personal finance topics like budgeting and credit. We emphasize the importance of delayed gratification – a crucial skill for anyone looking to build long-term wealth.
The Eight Competencies for Culturally Responsive Teaching framework by New America are helpful in identifying skills that educators can learn and develop in pursuit of being culturally relevant and responsive educators in NYC’s culturally, ethnically, racially, linguistically diverse classrooms.
Through impactful professional learning, board certification, and collaboration, the National Board Council of NY Network develops and strengthens instructional practice and supports teachers by leveraging Board Certification resources which represent the gold standard for accomplished teaching.
