Earning Criteria

Must be an IBM Employee in US & Canada. This program is targeted at university undergraduates and graduates. Badge earners must be accepted into and complete the IBM Be(e) Innovative Internship Challenge, along with meeting the below badge criteria.

Intern Challenge participants must work with their teams throughout the 3-day event to complete the final project submission by the specified deadline and may miss no more than a total of 1 of the subject matter expert (SME) speaker sessions.

Participation can be demonstrated through collaborating with peers in small, grouped teams and participating in at least 1 of the SME speaker sessions.

Each submission will be scored based on the following criteria with a minimum score of 0 and maximum score of 20 points, with the final score being the average of the judges’ scores. A final score of 8 or higher is required to pass.

Individuals will be required to submit a total of 4 deliverables for their final submission: 1. A one-page proposal that details the following: Problems, Solutions, Key Metrics, Value Proposition, & Roles and Responsibilities; 2. A Demo, Mock-up, or UI Layout; 3. An Architecture Map; 4. A 3 Minute Pitch Recording of Presentation.
