Vascular Physical Principles & Instrumentation (VPI)

The Vascular Physical Principles & Instrumentation (VPI) examination tested the requisite physical principles and instrumentation knowledge, skills and abilities essential to sonographer-level professionals. It was the physics component for the RVT certification however, it is no longer offered. The Sonography Principles & Instrumentation (SPI) examination now meets the physics requirement for the RVT certification.

Complete the education and clinical requirements of one of the published prerequisites. Note: prerequisite requirements are subject to change at any time and from time to time. Applicants must meet current prerequisite requirements in effect at the time of application. The prerequisites listed here may be different from those met by this badge earner.
Approved submission of an application with the supporting documentation verifying completion of the required education and experience.
Take and pass the Vascular Physical Principles & Instrumentation (VPI) examination.
