The Forum on Education Abroad is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, membership association recognized by the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission as the Standards Development Organization (SDO) for education abroad. The Forum welcomes as members all institutions of higher learning, consortia, agencies, and organizations who are committed to improving education abroad. Members join a dynamic community that engages in thoughtful dialogue about issues facing the field.

Earning Criteria

A representative completed an application for institutional membership and confirmed that the organization is committed to The Forum's Standards of Good Practice for Education Abroad as they relate to the mission of the organization.
The organization was accepted and welcomed by The Forum to its community of member institutions. As a member, the organization pays annual dues based on its category of membership and its study abroad enrollment, if relevant. Members have access to Forum trainings and resources to aid in meeting the field's Standards of Good Practice for Education Abroad.
