This credential earner has successfully hosted and mentored attendees at the official Qiskit Fall Fest (a collection of quantum computing events where IBM Quantum provides tools and resources to help them plan and run their on-campus event).

Earning Criteria

The mentor must effectively coach the Qiskit Fall Fest objective (spreading basic understanding and knowledge to local community members and beyond). The mentor should encourage the mentee to expand their knowledge in Quantum and Qiskit. There must be enough knowledge transfer that supports the mentee objectives.
The mentor must provide proof of guidance and technical support in their event and work to develop the area of interest of the mentees.
The mentor must participate in education sessions throughout the month of September preparing for the Qiskit Fall Fest.
The mentor must complete all 3 notebooks in the Qiskit Fall Fest 2024.
The mentor will be required to review/complete further material taught and required to use during the event: Hackathon prompts taught to mentees, shown knowledge for Error Characterization, shown knowledge in Advanced Transpilation, and completion of the advanced code notebook.
Note: Solutions and accomplishments must meet the final approval by the designated IBM Quantum Team.
Earners should submit an application for the badge with further evidence of completing the above criteria.
