Earners of the Program Evaluator badge have demonstrated, through formal training provided by ABET, the ability to evaluate academic programs in the areas of applied and natural science, computing, engineering and/or engineering technology against approved criteria. Program Evaluators pledge to provide an unbiased peer-reviewed evaluation of programs.

Earning Criteria

Current membership in one of ABET’s technical and professional societies and meeting society-specific qualifications for Program Evaluator service.
Complete initial Program Evaluator Candidate Simulated Visit Training and maintain currency through Recertification Training required every five years.
Exhibit the knowledge, skills and attitudes listed in the ABET Program Evaluator Competency Model: technically current, effective at communicating, interpersonally skilled, team-oriented, professional and organized.
