ID2ID Mentoring Program: Ignite 2023

The badge earner gained skills in the instructional design field and developed a network of colleagues while demonstrating they can support learning through their developing expertise in various instructional design areas. Badge earners were exposed to current/important topics and interacted with colleagues at other institutions who face challenges similar to their own. Led by a mentor or peer, participants form buddy relationships to develop artifacts and deepen learning.

Earning Criteria

Badge earners attended one professional development activity with their partner in support of their program goals. Example activities include attending a conference, attending a local professional development event, attending virtual events, participating in an open online course, or reading a book with a colleague. They also reflected on each event by creating a synopsis that explains how this experience contributes to their professional growth.
Badge earners attended and discussed one instructional design community group event planned and hosted by the Advisory Committee that supported participants and their interests. Following each event, participants shared their learning with a colleague and wrote a brief synopsis of that discussion.
Badge earners developed and submitted a final report about the progress of goals with peer/buddy/group in written or video format. The report demonstrates personal or group achievements that contributed to professional growth during the program.
