Earners of the FinTech Boot Camp have experience with a host of popular tools and methods such as Python programming, financial libraries, machine learning algorithms, solidity smart contracts, Ethereum, and blockchain. They have learned how these concepts are leveraged within financial fields as well as best practices for using these skills to add value to an organisation. They are competent in financial programming, machine learning applications in finance, and blockchain and cryptocurrency.

Earning Criteria
-
Complete the project for 'Financial Programming with Python'. This requires the use of Pandas to clean and format your dataset(s), the creation of a Jupyter Notebook describing the data exploration and cleanup process, creating a Jupyter Notebook illustrating the final data analysis, using PyViz, Panel, Plotly Express, and Hvplot to create six to eight visualisations of the data, and then aggregate these visualisations into a dashboard and using one new Python library.
-
Complete the project for 'Machine Learning for Finance'. This requires creating a Jupyter Notebook, Google Colab Notebook, or Amazon SageMake, Notebook to prepare a training and testing dataset, apply a dimensionality reduction technique to reduce the input features, or perform feature engineering to generate new features to train the model, create one or more machine learning models, fit the models to the training data, evaluate the trained models using testing data.
-
Complete the project for ‘Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies’. This requires tokenise an asset using the proper ERC standards, create a decentralised auction in Solidity, build a digital marketplace powered by smart contracts, create an automated algorithmic trading system, design an in-depth dashboard for investors to quickly visualise their portfolios and use machine learning and NLP to predict trends in stock prices.
