Earners of this badge are recipients of the National Honor Society Scholarship. These individuals were chosen by a national selection committee because of their demonstrated commitment to the pillars of NHS: scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Recipients exhibited outstanding academic achievement as well as a service mindset. The scholarship program is supported by the parent organization of NHS, the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP).
