A BGP Security Associate has demonstrated the ability to identify and analyse the security vulnerabilities of BGP and their impact on the Internet. A holder of this badge is capable of choosing and applying appropriate security measures to protect networks against common threats. They can define filters based on the routing relationships, register routing information in the RIPE Database, create ROAs in the RPKI system, and validate the origin of BGP announcements by using RPKI infrastructure.
