FourBlock's Career Readiness Program is a semester-long course designed to equip veterans and transitioning service members with the tools needed to build the professional relationships necessary to transition to meaningful civilian careers. Veterans meet weekly with company representatives to explore new industries and careers that may align with their interests, skills, experiences, and values, while taking time to self-reflect and think critically about what is important to them.

Earning Criteria

Badge earners complete 35+ hours of coursework via our comprehensive career readiness curriculum. Hours are inclusive of weekly in-person or virtual cohort classes/sessions with company representatives, one-on-one meetings with course instructors and coaches, and independent research and goal setting. 80% attendance at weekly sessions is required.
Complete the following course deliverables: 1) Develop elevator pitch; adapt for various situations; 2) Produce a military-to-civilian transition story (Tell me about yourself); 3) Develop master and targeted resumes 4) Refine LinkedIn profile; 5) Complete mock interview and receive detailed feedback 6) Develop target list of companies for relationship-based career strategy.
Complete a pre- and post-program assessment to measure learning and growth.
