The Python Environment and Syntax badge is comprised of one microcourse which will provide earners with a knowledge of the Python environment, about the language syntax, concepts, vocabulary and ways to use Python. Students completing this badge will be able to identify cases where Python can be used to solve a problem, set up a Python environment and write and run basic Python scripts.

Earning Criteria

Register for the Python Environment and Syntax Badge. This registration link will take you directly to the badge's Moodle course where you can self-enroll to begin completing the badge. Click on this link, sign into your Moodle account (if necessary), and click "self-enroll". Then you should receive a welcome message detailing your enrollment into the course.
Complete the Introduction to Python Environment and Syntax course. This course include six modules discussing how to install Jupyter lab, how to use Python syntax, basic Python data types, logical expressions, and how to run basic Python scripts.
Receive an 80% on every quiz after each module and submit each problem set.
