Students are introduced to the basic principles of general chemistry related to majors in a non-STEM discipline. This course explains the chemical principles using applications in our daily lives as examples. Students will learn to relate the macroscopic worlds (what we see) with the microscopic world (where most chemistry takes place). Students will explore many aspects of chemistry that affect our daily lives, including atmospheric, environmental, and organic chemistry, and biochemistry.
