Earning Criteria

Minimum of two years of work experience as a Chef de Cuisine or Working Pastry Chef, supervising at least two full-time people in the preparation of food and 1,200 teaching contact hours. Industry work history and teaching hours must be current within the last 10 years.
Must have Associate's degree in Culinary Arts OR a Bachelor's degree in any discipline and complete 120 hours of Education Development and 30 hours each in Food Safety and Sanitation, Nutrition and Supervisory Management.
Successful completion of written exam to evaluate culinary knowledge AND practical exam to assess skill proficiency AND classroom video demonstration to assess teaching skills.
