Earners of the CDIP® are knowledgeable and competent in providing guidance relative to clinical documentation in patient health records: exhibit leadership skills in promoting CDI efforts, team management and CDI project management; providing high level of skills in working with providers to clarify POA, HAC and PSI; skilled in the development of policies and procedures related to query practices and overall CDI systems; knowledgeable in assigning ICD-10-CM/PCS, DRG or HCPCS codes.
