The badge holder can complete the tasks expected from an experienced SSR for at least three IBM Systems Z generations, e.g. Z12, Z13, Z14 based systems and Z15 based systems. The badge holder is a preferred mentor. The SSR Expert is a recognized Subject Matter Expert for at least two system Z machine type and a partner for product engineering (PE) when it comes to collaboration between the teams. Can plan and lead for complex installations, MES, relocations, and mentor.

Provide evidence of introducing new or improved tool or process used by technical support team and provide evidence of improvement to service efficiency and/or client experience.

Minimum of 36 months experience supporting IBM System Z platform

Has provided evidence of completing 2 of the following: Has participated in Reliability, Availability, and Serviceability (RAS) development AND/OR Has contributed as an author to RedBook or Course Development project AND/OR Has presented original technical content at a national seminar AND/OR Has participated in the guest instructor program to train other System Services Representative AND/OR has earned a mentor badge
