Columbia Credential Professional Executive Coach (CCPEC)
Columbia Coaching Center of Excellence (CCOE) is a strategic partnership between Teachers College Graduate School of Education and the Columbia Business School. CCPEC is earned by completing our 1-year, graduate-level, Columbia Coaching Certification Program (3CP). Components: (1) 1-Week Front-End Coaching Intensives; (2) 8-Month Field-based Practicum; (3) 1-Week Advanced Coaching Intensive; an (4) 60-Day Posting Period. CCPEC is the highest level of achievement offered by the program.

Earning Criteria

Pre-requisite: Undergraduate Degree (i.e., 3CP is a graduate-level coaching education and training program | housed in a Research-1, Ivy League University).

Segment 1: Education and Training (FECI) – 42 contact hours completed in 1-week, including: (a) 7, one-hour Asynchronous Units (including “knowledge checks – all core content delivered via this mode); (b) 5, one- hour “Core Group” guided reflection sessions; and (c) 10, three-hour Synchronous units (i.e., experiential learning, including six observed coaching sessions with laser facilitator feedback).

Segment 1: Assignments (FECI) – 2 elements, including: (a) pre-work reading; and (b) prep for coaching sessions.

Segment 1: Assessments (FECI) - 4 assessments including: (a) Base-line Coaching Foundations Self-Assessment; (b) Learning Style Inventory (LSI); (c) Thinking Style Assessment (NBI); and (d) End-of-the-Week Foundations Self-Assessment.

Segment 2: Education and Training (Practicum) – 42 contact hours distributed via: (a) 36 two-hour group supervision sessions (i.e., reflective practice focused); and (b) 3 two-hour coaching demonstrations (i.e., various approaches to coaching).

Segment 2: Assignments – 7 required assignments during practicum, including: A1: Learning Journal #1 (LJ #1) (Documented Reflection of Baseline Coaching Conversation from FECI); A2: Client Log #1 (CL #1) (Documented Reflection); A3: Project Elevator Speech; A4: LJ#2 (Documented Reflection End-of-Week Coaching from FECI); A5: CL #2 (Additional Coaching Hours); A6: LJ #3 (Documented Reflection – “Signature” Adaptation of Coaching Foundations); and A7: Draft Coaching Specific Program

Segment 3: Education and Training (ACI) – 42 final contact hours completed in 1-week, including: (a) 3 one-hour Asynchronous Units (i.e., “advanced content focused” including positive approaches to learning and change; emotional intelligence; cultural intelligence; and organizational acumen, with Knowledge Checks); (b) 3 one- hour “Core Group” guided reflection sessions; (c) 26 ½ hours of Interactive Synchronous Units (i.e., experiential learning, combined with observed coaching session)

Segment 3: Assessments (ACI) - 5 assessments for the week, including: (a) Cultural in the Workplace Questionnaire; (b) Emotional-Social Intelligence 360; (c) Project Presentation/Showcase (feedback); (d) 3-hour Written Exam; and (e) 30-Minute Oral Exam (with “real” client and 2 examiners).
Standards
The Columbia Coaching Foundations (i.e., guiding principles, competencies, and process) are the result of extensive applied and empirical research, grounded in the science of human performance, provide the educational standards for the 1-Year Graduate Level Columbia Coaching Certification Program (126 contact hours).
The 1-Year Columbia Coaching Program (and related credentialing levels) is offered for 12.6 Continuing Educational Units (CEUs), by Teachers College, Columbia University, as an authorized International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) provider.
