The badge earner has passed the Essential Eight Assessment Course which has been designed by the Australian Signals Directorate’s Australian Cyber Security Centre & is delivered in partnership by TAFEcyber. The Course enables cyber security & ICT professionals to understand & apply the Essential Eight Assessment Guidance Package & the Essential Eight Maturity Model. The Course will enable participants to effectively & accurately assess & improve their organisation’s cyber security posture.

Earning Criteria

Must be either an Australian citizen or permanent resident.

Must have a Certificate IV qualification in a technical ICT discipline or greater and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical ICT role, OR, 4 years of experience in a technical ICT role.

Complete the in-person Essential Eight Assessment Course delivered by TAFEcyber members.

Achieve a minimum 80% pass in a supervised, open-book exam at the conclusion of the course.
