This credential covers foundations of human-centered design (HCD) and design thinking, an approach to interactive systems development that aims to make systems useful and usable by focusing on users and their needs, tasks, and environments. Skills include planning for and executing ethnographic research, research synthesis, iterative design, and usability evaluation. Earners will understand the value of HCD, gain an understanding of HCD methods, and learn how and when to involve designers.
