Complete the education and clinical requirements of one of the published prerequisites. Note: prerequisite requirements are subject to change at any time and from time to time. Applicants must meet current prerequisite requirements in effect at the time of application. The prerequisites listed here may be different from those met by this badge earner.
Apply for, take and pass the Sonography Principles & Instrumentation (SPI) examination or the previously offered Cardiovascular Principles & Instrumentation Physics (CPI) examination.
Apply for, take and pass one or more of the RDCS specialty examinations: Adult Echocardiography (AE), Fetal Echocardiography (FE) or Pediatric Echocardiography (PE).
