This tort law course focuses on the most common causes of action, including intentional torts and negligence. The course looks at assault, battery, false imprisonment, trespass and more "modern" torts, such as intentional infliction of emotional distress and malicious prosecution. The course also covers defenses to tort claims. The negligence section of the course focuses on duty, breach, causation and damages and on various special rules relevant to negligence causes of action.
