Earning Criteria

Members of CSTAC are Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) approved by an internal review board comprised of industry professionals. CSTAC members have attended at least three workshops in the past three years and have committed to attending at least two additional workshops in the next two years. Each workshop consists of approximately five (5) days, or forty (40) hours, of development work, including Job Task Analysis, Objective Development, Item Writing/Review, and Cut Score Workshops.

CompTIA A+, CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner, CompTIA Cloud+, CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst, CompTIA Linux+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA PenTest+, and CompTIA Security+ certifications are accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) under the ISO 17024 standard.
