Earning Criteria

Professional Development requirement- Candidates must complete 75 hours or more of professional development activity related to the CNP competencies. Activities must be completed within the last five years. Renewal of the ACNP is required every three years. When renewing the credential, the candidate will be required to have completed 45 hours over that three-year time period.

Candidates must have held or currently hold a nonprofit management position and have 5 or more years of professional work with a nonprofit organization.

Candidates must complete 50 hours of volunteer service. These service hours must be completed within the last five years. Renewal of the ACNP is required every three years. When you renew the credential, you will be required to have completed 30 hours over that three-year period.
