This intensive 7-module program required 8-10 hours of self-study every week and a 90-minute live virtual class each week for 8 weeks. Live virtual classes consisted of teacher lecture, guest speakers, small discussion groups, and full class discussion. Weekly self-study included viewing video lessons, completing readings, taking online quizzes, completing written discussion forums and class assignments, and developing a final project and presentation. Group work was expected outside of class.

A students’ grade is Pass/Fail. Course completion was dependent on successful class attendance, completion of weekly coursework, and completion of the final project and presentation.

Students will be issued a Certificate in Community Solar Development through UNH. This course was developed in partnership with Housing Sustainability Advisors and with significant expertise and materials contributed by: Cooperative Energy Futures, Enerwealth Solutions, GRID Alternatives, Groundswell, People’s Solar Energy Fund, Solar One, Solar United Neighbors, Sunwealth. The Learning Lab is part of the National Community Solar Partnership, a national effort of the U.S. Department of Energy
