Earning Criteria

• Acuity Institute’s Change Management course has been designed to provide Change Leaders running organizational projects with the tools and skills to initiate change in a project environment. Our program delivers best practices for both tactical and behavioral elements of change from leading experts in a practical and simple way. It demystifies change by providing students with a superior interactive Change Management Toolkit which leads practitioners through all phases of the Change process.
• Acuity Institute’s Lean Professional course provides participants with a structured approach to manage Lean projects in Service and Manufacturing environments and helps you learn how to sustain these improvements. The Lean Professional course follows Acuity’s Lean FOCUS™ Improvement Methodology: Focus, Operate, Create, Utilize and Sustain. The Lean FOCUS™ roadmap assists users in identifying problems and improving and implementing Lean solutions.
• Acuity Institute’s Kaizen Leader course has been designed to teach Kaizen fundamentals and its application. It is intended for facilitators and participants of a Kaizen Event. Kaizen is a problem-solving approach that applies process improvement in a structured setting. The goal of Kaizen is to eliminate activities in processes that add cost but do not add value. A Kaizen Event is an extremely efficient method to quickly improve poor performing processes.
• Acuity's Design for Six Sigma course is designed to provide Belts and Project Leaders the additional tools and concepts necessary to successfully execute DFSS projects. What is Design For Six Sigma (DFSS)?  The DMADV methodology is utilized, which stands for Define, Measure, Analyze, Design, and Verify. DFSS is often used when designing new products and services.
• Acuity Institute’s Presentation Skills course teaches the foundational skills of adult learning, experiential learning, how to structure a presentation, and engage people in a way that enables the achievement of the objectives and intended outcomes. Whether you are facilitating a team meeting, brainstorming session, leadership meeting, presentation or training, this course will help you to properly build your presentation approach, engage your audience and evaluate the impact of the outcomes.
• The Applied Statistics course is designed to provide Master Black Belts and experienced Project Leaders the additional statistical tools and concepts necessary to successfully analyze, improve and execute their continuous improvement efforts. Acuity’s curriculum is a dynamic blend of theory and practical application of tools.  Applied Statistics covers the fundamentals of statistics such as the types of data, populations and samples, spread and stability, location and statistical parameters.
• Individually complete 3 Business Performance Improvement Projects using any of the following methodologies: DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control), DMADV (Define, Measure, Analyze, Design, Verify), Kaizen (Plan, Do, Check, Act) or Lean (FOCUS: Focus, Operate, Create, Utilize, Sustain).
• Knowledge Transfer – Coaching and Training Facilitation. An MBB Candidate is required to complete ONE of the following.  Option 1: Project Coaching – individually coach 4 Business Performance Improvement Project Leaders through project completion. Option 2: Training Facilitation – individually create a one-hour training course, facilitated to two separate groups of participants. Option 3: White Paper Development – individually create a case study on a relevant Performance Improvement topic.
• Upon completion of the program requirements, An Acuity Institute “MBB Certification Panel” meets with the MBB Candidate to review the certification documentation provided during the program (the meeting is conducted virtually). The Acuity Institute “MBB Certification Panel” approves the MBB Certification if he/she meets the requirements for MBB Certification.
