Earning Criteria

Earners must have completed OSHA 510 - Occupational Safety and Health Standards for Construction within the last 7 (seven) years.

Earners must have 5 (five) years of construction industry safety experience. A bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health or industrial hygiene from an accredited college or university, a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation may be substituted for a total of 2 (two) years of experience.

Earners must submit a Prerequisite Verification Form and government-issued ID prior to registration approval.

Earners must complete the 26-hour course and pass a knowledge test and a performance test.

Earners must attend OSHA 502 - Update for Construction Industry Outreach Trainers at least once every 4 (four) years to maintain their trainer status.
Standards
The 1926 - Safety and Health Regulations for Construction Standards are utilized in the course
