Earning Criteria
-
Board members must be employees of an AMCA member company in good standing. They also are required to vote on the ballots for approval of new members.
-
Board members need to have the time to commit to preparation for and attendance at meetings, many which involve travel on personal time. Frequently members are or have been involved in various AMCA committees prior to, or during, their tenure on the Board.
-
Board members are expected to attend all meetings, actively listen and participate, and be prepared for each meeting in advance. Nominations to, and service on, the Board are a privilege and honor shared with the individuals who have shown significant and positive involvement in the association.
-
Serving on the Board of AMCA, a nonprofit association, the member has both internally and externally-focused roles and responsibilities. A Board member is an ambassador for the association at all times. Board members commit that information gained and shared, and decisions made by the Board, are in the best interest of the association and the industry, and are not necessarily for the benefit of the Board members' companies or their employers.
