Federal Process and Advocacy
Earners of the AACRAO Federal Process and Advocacy badge have developed a fundamental understanding of the federal legislative process, including how a bill becomes a law and the federal budget process. Earners have the basic skill sets to set-up meetings with Congressional representatives, to prepare for these meetings and know what to expect during these meetings. In addition, earners have the tools to engage with both state and federal issues while being in federal compliance.

Earning Criteria

Earners of the badge completed all the modules in the self-paced course. The modules include the legislative process, federal budget process, lobbying vs. advocacy, congressional meetings, and how to set up congressional meetings.

Pass the final assessment based on all seven courses in the AACRAO Federal Process and Advocacy 101 course with 70% or higher.
