Earners of the CWI credential have demonstrated the knowledge and skill required to perform inspections and verify compliance in a variety of applications. CWIs are capable of visually inspecting welds for compliance with codes / standards / specifications. CWIs are capable of verifying that welded components meet the requirements for base material compliance, filler metal compliance, storage and handling compliance, as well as base material, and filler metal compatibility.
