Earning Criteria

Complete SV Academy Sales & Business Development Fellowship by successfully completing 12 weeks of assignments and attending each weekly workshop session in addition to completing a sales internship as part of their program experience.

Human-Centered Selling: Understand the business development discipline as a human-centered problem-solving service. Exploration of current sales technology ecosystem, organizational design, sales methodologies, and behavioral psychology.

Immersion in the role of a SDR: Understand and experience the life of an entry-level sales development representative by learning the key tasks and responsibilities, and by practicing skills in simulated and real-world environments.

Mastering Communication: Practice effective communication by developing skills around pitching, presentations, warmth and competence, comfort and sincerity in phone conversations, and empathy for multiple stakeholders.

Career Readiness: In addition to acquiring the skills necessary to be a successful SDR in the tech industry, successful completion of the fellowship and placement in a full-time role requires the fellow to meet SV Academy's defined standard of interview and career-readiness.

Coachability: Fellows will cultivate a growth mindset by actively seeking feedback from peers and instructional leaders, pursuing challenging tasks as opportunities for learning, persevering in the face of obstacles, and refining practical skills in giving and receiving feedback.
