APS Indo-Pacific Executive Development Program

This 7-month program equips executive-level APS staff with the latest insights and capabilities to navigate the fast-changing Indo-Pacific region. Designed to enable participants to engage effectively with counterparts in the region and develop domestic and international policies, it spotlights two key partners: Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. The program centers on the global, cross-cutting priority Climate Change and Energy Transition and its implication for Australia and the region.

Completed a 2-day immersive, building knowledge and networks around the Indo-Pacific and the core Program theme: Climate Change and Energy Transition.

Engaged with leading experts in politics, policy, academia, business and not-for-profit, to expand and deepen their ability to shape policy (domestic and/or international).

Attended a series of masterclasses on developing and presenting effective project briefs, country spotlights on Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, and sector spotlights on Climate Change and Energy Transition.

Produced a project brief that connects the Program content to their agency context and area of expertise.

Presented this project to a panel of experts and audience of peers, and provided peer feedback on cohort projects.
