This badge owner is a trained lifestyle coach for PreventT2, an intensive lifestyle change program from the National Diabetes Prevention Program, led by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC.) ADCES is one of a select number of Lifestyle Coach Training Organizations with a CDC memorandum of understanding to deliver this training. Lifestyle coaches activate PreventT2 to help participants make better food choices, increase physical activity, and lose a modest amount of weight.

Standards
The Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists (AM001) is a Continuing Professional Education Accredited Provider with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. CDR Credentialed Practitioners will receive 12 CPEUs for completion of this activity.
The Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. This program provides 12 contact hours (12 CEUs) of continuing education credit.
The Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. This program provides 12 contact hours of continuing education credit. AADE is also accredited by the California Board of Registered Nursing (CEP # 10977).
