Engaged Teaching

The Engaged Teaching course at Auburn University’s Biggio Center equips participants to design and facilitate college courses. It is comprised of modules that cover learning theory, course design, instructional methods, and assessment. Participants spend a total of sixteen hours engaging in group discussions, designing course materials, and reflective practice.

Earning Criteria

To earn the Evidence-Based Educator certification, participants in the Engaged Teaching course participants are required to complete all modules and assignments, engage in group discussion, and demonstrate the ability to synthesize scholarship, student feedback, and reflective practices. In addition, participants must demonstrate their ability to design, facilitate, and assess college courses in alignment with course goals and objectives.
