The Carpentries Instructor Training has the following goals: introduce evidence-based teaching practices; (2) teach how to create a positive environment for learners at your workshops; (3) provide opportunities to practice and build your teaching skills; (4) facilitate engagement to the Carpentries community; and (5) use these teaching skills in teaching Carpentries workshops.

Earning Criteria

Make a contribution to a lesson or glossary. Take part in an online community discussion session. Take part in an online teaching demonstration session. All trainees have 90 days from the end date of training to complete a checkout to attain Instructor status from The Carpentries.
