Dermal Science Practical is a cluster of nationally accredited units of competency encompassing the following skills as aligned in the scope of practice for a cosmetic nurse or dermal therapist; patient consultation, skin analysis, laser and IPL procedures, LED therapy, chemical peeling, skin needling, microdermabrasion and infection prevention. These skills form key clinical competencies practiced in a cosmetic medical context.
