Completion of the ELS Green Belt Certificate demonstrates knowledge of concepts and use of tools in a DMAIC, Six Sigma project. Specific tools include VOC, SIPOC, financial benefits, normal data analysis (using Minitab and including histograms, I-MR and Xbar-R control charts, p-values, t-tests), FMEA, pilot studies, and control plans. Competencies also include project management, influencing teams and stakeholders, and executive-level presentations. Prerequisite: ELS Yellow Belt Certification.

Earning Criteria

Green Belts will complete 1 DMAIC Green Belt level project to be certified. Completion of the project occurs with 1.) Sign-off on the stage-gate workbook by the project's mentor and sponsor signing off of each stage; 2.) An executive 7 slider presentation completed with the Green Belt's skip-level management team and 3.) A mentor certification log assessment of the GB's project work that covers over 20 GB skills and 5 leadership qualities.
