• Earner has increased their knowledge of the different job opportunities and skills requirements in the retrofit industry in the West of England region, ranging from entry-level pathways to progression opportunities.
• Earner has engaged in critical thinking around the perception of green jobs and have understood how green skills can be embedded into a wide range of careers.
• Earner has increased their understanding of the projected growth and importance of retrofit careers and how this aligns to regional net zero and sustainability priorities.
• Earner has engaged with practical resources available on retrofit careers to mentor and support people into appropriate careers and upskilling opportunities.
• Earner has demonstrated a commitment to strengthening their understanding and knowledge of developments within green careers, including how sectors are changing and adapting to lower emissions and/or protect nature.
• Earner has increased their confidence in providing employability support through exploring and discussing green opportunities in their work with clients, including how to communicate the benefits to different audiences.
• Earner has critically applied their new knowledge to example case studies and assessed suitable retrofit related Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG).
• Earner has demonstrated active learning and reflective practice by engaging in discussions on how they can incorporate their new knowledge of retrofit careers into their job role, and how they are directly contributing to developing a green workforce for the West of England region.
• Earner has acquired the interpersonal skills and knowledge to support their role as professionals within employment and careers services to engage, inspire, and direct people towards retrofit careers and training opportunities, understanding the importance of this industry within the region.
