The Duty of the School Governor in Relation to Managing Allegations of Abuse Introduction: Earner understands what safeguarding is and examples of abuse and neglect, including the governor's role in safeguarding. Earner knows how to manage allegations of abuse for both staff and pupils and be aware of safer recruitment.

Effective Clerking: Earner understands how to set agendas, manage statutory policies and compliance, whilst ensuring the governing body understand their responsibilities in relation to equality, diversity, and inclusion, safeguarding and the Prevent agenda. Earners also understand safer recruitment practices and the governing body's responsibilities to hold the leadership team accountable for financial and educational outcomes. Earner also understands estate management.
