Earning Criteria

• Earner has completed specialist coffee training. They participated in a hands-on session with the guidance of a member of Real Ideas coffee supplier. This training covers the methods and process of how to make coffee to a professional standard along with coffee machine care/maintenance.
• Earner has learnt how to confidently make all drinks on the Real Ideas menu and knows the correct sizing and presentation for each drink, as a result staying aligned with the company guidelines and creating a consistent dining experience for customers.
• Earner has gained an understanding of how to steam milk for various coffee drinks, including plant-based milks. They have worked in a way that prevents cross-contamination, as a result staying within Health and Safety.
• Earner has learnt how to clean and maintain the café’s coffee machine. They know that this should be done during the opening/close of their shifts and when needed, during the day.
• This badge is only available to Students, Members or Employees.
